I always wonder why people keep dealer or other advertising license plate frames. Do you have these frames on your car? Why?

I've got a HUGE issue with dealers putting their logos on the fenders and deck lids, and then adding those damn license plate frames.... I went into a dealer a few months ago, and they had 3 decals for their dealership on the car, and 2 license frames on it with their logo plastered on it... I wanted the car, but I told them either they take it all off, or I want $7000 off invoice to lease the space on my car for advertising. Needless to say, I didn't buy the car...

Oh yeah, I forgot about the emblems that they stick on the paint, hate those too.

Meh, I dont care. The dealer is in another state and its not like this is actually giving them business. No harm, no foul in my mind.

Brotherton can keep their ad on the back of the car - haven't found a new one that tickles my fanny

Today I saw someone who had a vanity plate and a dealer license plate frame. They actually took the frame off, applied the vanity plate and put the frame back on...
This is just one of my many ponderables that come to mind on my hour drive to and from work...

Those kind fo people are the ones that think the license plate frame holds the plate on or protects it in some way, so they think it's required... Those people are stupid. I was at the Dealer the other day getting the wife's car serviced, and they were actually selling their license plate frames... I couldn't believe it.

There is a dealer near me that does that. Plus, the sell the stickers that they put on the backs of the cars. People pour in there and pay $8 for those....
The fact that its "Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet" may have something to do with it......

Ueah, I can see if it says Dale Earnhardt Chevrolet on it.. But it doesn't mean I'll put one on...

If I have a license plate that says something it'll be like "If you can read this Im stomping on my breaks, NOW!"
