a) retribution = lvling/grinding spec

b) lawl you wanna do something in raid? spec holy

Oh yes, there's been points proven that post kara and going into 25man raids teh pally tank = teh dead.

Pallies should never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever be tanks. Know your role and heal. Seriously. Same with Druids in raids, use warriors and bring 1 feral for DPS/off-offtank. I just loved how in that game people always wanted to be something they werent. Well, reroll. However, it was funny when pre-BC we had Fellari's boar tank Hakkar in ZG...and we wont ohhh so easy.

I know you might not keep up with the patch notes so much, but Pallys aren't being allowed to heal at 70 either. Holy priests were crying that in the arena a paladin was a better healer so they gutted Illumination, and by extension a lot of the holy tree and most of the raid gear. Reports from some raid pallys are that they're seeing their ability to heal cut down by roughly 33%, when they were already popping mana potions like they were candy in raids.

It's not that paladins are useless at healing now, but taking them to heal seems like it's going to be like taking them to tank, yeah....they can hold aggro better than a warrior, they're just going to have no where near the HP or mitigation. Sure, they can heal one guy as good as that priest, but you're screwed if anyone else needs to be healed...or if it's a boss.

Blizzard needs to make up their mind one way or another about hybrids is the problem. One month they decide hybrids need to be as good as the specialists if they spec into the tree fully, then the next they decide they should be no where near as good regardless of how they spec. If they'd simply pick one and stick with it, probably be much easier for them and players, even if people cried about their class being inferior.

Well said. The whole balancing PvP vs PvE thing completely nerfs one aspect of the game for one of those two sides. There is no real balance. Ahh well, maybe by the next expansion they will get it right.

holy pally = healbot for 1 person, now all end gear is basically craptasitc, prot pally isnt any useful for anything over 10 man, and ret apparently is the only talent tree i know of for any class that has been labeled by blizz specifically to be a lvling tree.
