British scientists are planning to see whether a Star Trek-style deflector shield could be built to protect astronauts from radiation.

They argue that magnetic shields could be deployed around spacecraft and on the surfaces of planets to deflect harmful energised particles.

What else did you do on your vacation?
I thought for sure you would write us a nice 200 word essay.

The monkey (A WOOT Monkey) was the trip mascot. Several of us that had been there enough times not to be running around all ga-ga over the touristy spots were having more fun playing with the monkey (insert your own jokes here). Basically it was our goal, as we tagged along with the rest of the group that were seeing the touristy spots, to see what the monkey could be photographed with. You'd be surprised at the looks that 39-50 year old men get while running around playing with this monkey.

Anyway, the monkey got his picture taken all over OBX.... and basically had a better vacation than the rest of us.

Other than that, I drank some..ok, a lot of beer.

I see you've met my four "nieces". Aren't they delightful.

All week long, we "Had the monkey, we we're just waiting on the football".... (if you know that old joke)....

Well, anyway, later in the week the two got together and all hell broke loose.
