ITS FRIGGIN' COLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Temps havent been above anything past the low 50's. It snowed on Saturday.....

Where is that 80 degree weather we had the past couple weeks?????

Seriously, new low temperature records have been set almost daily for this time of year. Its always my luck that crap like that happens when I go on vacation......

However, our trip masoct - Spank D. Monkey - is apparently having a much better time than the other 10 of us.... Photos of his excellent adventure may be posted later.

What's really scary is that Stoke isn't terribly far away from me. Like two or three hours...maybe.

Unfortunately I have this "work" thing all week...nor do you mention where to go even if I didn't. :p

Cucu mentioned that he'd like you to visit though so he can introduce you to his wife as evidence that it's not just 12 year olds playing WoW. :p

For our friends on the West Coast, a brief history lesson on the area:

Local legend says the community of Nags Head was named for pirates' habit of fastening a lantern to a horse's neck and having it walk the beach on stormy nights. The motion of the horse's gait made the light resemble that of a ship, luring other vessels toward shore.

The town is out on the beach just past Roanoke Island where if you will recall your elementary school history, The Lost Colony was located.

About 60 miles south is Ocracoke Island and village - a nice protected little harbor where Blackbeard the Pirate hung out. Blackbeard was also killed there.

Actually it's called Nag's Head because that's where the rest of the ex-wife's body was found....
