I checked into some of your other characters, most of them have quite a few instances.

Stoka in particular appears popular in Europe.

This is pretty cool, but I think your information is incorrect.

Cannonball - 1

Fatalle

Mwahahahaha! Bow to me my subservient pawns!

Well I certainly don't score points for originality. And FYI: probably 10 or so of those Fatalle's are mine.

I recall there being a Laysen in Call Of Duty II.

All three Laysen's are mine i am pretty sure.

Unless you're playing a Dwarf Paladin on Aegwynn in Europe, I'm gonna go with "no". :) I would be willing to believe that a 45 paladin on Argent Dawn, the same server as the other Danerune (a 25 human warrior), is yours. ;)

Well there is over 312 Orion's not counting the different variations. LoL. Saw an interesting one the other day "Orienn" :) The worst part the guy who actually has Orion on Mal Ganis last played in 05 and only for about 2 weeks then ditched the character. Wouldnt you think WoW clean out the files if the character hasnt been used in 2 years?

Orion

If they were a full subscriber than nah...bad for business. Imagine if Stang stopped playing WoW for a year, then came back and they'd given away Chestylaru. She's (justifiably) upset that they gave her name away and so she doesn't really come back. Blizzard has permanently lost a customer. The way they do it, you've already come to terms with the fact your name was unavailable by creating a variation...such as Gryphen. :) The person who changed their spelling remains happy, and the returning customer is happy.

And this assumes of course that the person no longer plays WoW at all. ;) If we all decided to move to Lightning's Blade to play Horde for a few years, we're still active accounts, just not characters. :) That'd be PR suicide since people are very very touchy about anything that has to do with their characters. Multiply that out by 8 million....scary, scary stuff.

Now, trial accounts...yeah...those they should (and probably do) clear out periodically.

I'm still pissed that Stake is unavailable.... that leaves a glaring hole in the Team St*ke Dynasty....

I think "Gryphen" reserved it out of spite. :)
