View Full Version : Tier 3 Quests
RocketMad 05-30-2006, 08:30 AM Hey,
I've read what items you need to complete the tier 3 quests.
http://www.curse-gaming.com/en/wow/news-87-1-latest-info-on-tier3-set-materials.html
The materials are easy to get but I have no idea where these items drop:
Wartorn Chain Scrap
Wartorn Cloth Scrap
Any idea if they are easy to get?
Nizuttz 05-30-2006, 09:26 AM Damn they are making those stupid easy to get.
Stoke 05-30-2006, 11:00 AM Why does it appear that Warlocks are getting screwed by having to get more stuff than everyone else?

Its like they force you to be a tailor...
They drop off of all trash mobs in Naxx.
Still going to need things off of the bosses :(
RocketMad 05-30-2006, 12:51 PM Oke thanks
Nizuttz 05-30-2006, 01:16 PM lol.. warrior set doesn't need shit from the bosses looks like.

From what I understand, the only places to get the desecrated armor pieces are from...... drum roll please..... THE BOSSES.
Sorry Niz.
Nizuttz 05-30-2006, 01:57 PM oh.. all the thing says is:
20 Arcanite Bars
4 Nexus Crystals
19 Cured Rugged Hides
Might have said it in the pictures somewhere, but I can not be bothered to read those.
Stoke 05-30-2006, 02:24 PM Well here Mr. I can't be bothered:
"Rayne at Lights Hope Chapel in the Eastern Plaguelands will make Dreamwalker Boots if you bring her the following: 1 Desecrated Boots, 12 Wartorn Leather Scraps, 3 Mooncloth and 2 cured rugged leather hides."

Thought that was priest only.
Stoke 05-31-2006, 06:38 AM My understanding is that all classes will have to get their equivalent.
Nizuttz 05-31-2006, 07:03 AM That will be awesome if only certain classes have to.
Banne 05-31-2006, 09:24 PM why you ask? because warriors like me and the poomasta are lazy. I will never come close to getting this set, because basically you need a full tier 2 epic group to beat the bosses in there (or so im assuming). Im sure this sounds ALOT easier than it really is.
SilverTalon 05-31-2006, 09:41 PM You should hear the whining the raiders are doing about Tier 3. "OMG! I have to get a drop, farm tons of materials in the instance AND get 800g+ of materials from people?! waaaaaaaaaaaaaaah!".
Dungeon 2 anyone?
I do have to say though, I like this system much, much, MUCH better than the system used for tier 0, 1 and 2 sets. This really is much better for lazy people, IMO. Now, rather than some warlock sitting in about a hundred UBRS runs and going "Man, my Dreadmist robe didn't drop...again...I'm 78, level 200 and still haven't finished tier 0..." Drakk would drop a "Fire-wreathed robe" and warlocks, priests and mages can all use it to create their respective chest pieces. You're still a little dependent on drops, but no where near like now...especially in the case of raid armor which is class-restricted. Great for people who are on their last set piece and hate killing the same boss 30 times for him to not drop the piece.
I hope they do that sort of thing more in the expansion, at least for gear that's part of a set.

You want to twist the dagger in a little harder and deeper? :gah:

"I'm also divorced three times and somehow ended up married to Nizuttz, who after Syni became a world famous bra super-model divorced her because she made him get up and walk around. I suppose I'll console myself over the lack of a Dreadmist robe by going to wash the folds in Niz's now-Jabba-the-Hutt-like fat with a sponge on a stick...it truly is the only joy left in my life at this point..."
:D
See? Things can ALWAYS be worse... :D
Nizuttz 06-01-2006, 06:39 AM Wrong... you mistake worse for SUPA SWEET, cause that is what you just described.

For YOU, maybe... ;) I think Stoke is climbing to the top of the building he works at now to try sidewalk diving...
Nizuttz 06-01-2006, 07:16 AM No.. Stoke knows that he secretly likes it.
Stoke 06-01-2006, 08:20 AM 13 floors.... 13 floors.....
SilverTalon 06-01-2006, 08:23 AM lol, you're saying you don't want to give Niz sponge baths while feeding him cheetos in your twilight years? ;)
Nizuttz 06-01-2006, 08:28 AM Isn't Stoke in his twilight years? hehehe.
Stoke 06-01-2006, 08:29 AM Et tu Nizutte?
SilverTalon 06-01-2006, 08:31 AM Damn...that was cold...good burn...but cold.
And Stoke knows that we all <3 him...that's why he puts up with us. :D
Stoke 06-01-2006, 08:36 AM So should I be breaking out the Depends?
SilverTalon 06-01-2006, 08:38 AM Don't forget your standard issue Stoke gear...
Gloves of Old
You can thank Syni for reminding me of those...

But they are level "29". WTF is up with that?
Nizuttz 06-01-2006, 09:24 AM I know.. thats is uber disappointing that they are lvl 29.
Ardamir 06-01-2006, 01:29 PM 40 man raids are overrated anyways.
