Here I sit at 3 Finger Jacks. A restaurant on mainstreet of a psuedo-western town on our trip to the other side of the cascade range. It actually snowed on the pass coming over, but it was mixed with rain. I have lots of pictures, but I don't have any way to upload them now.

There's a rodeo in town, and the town is packed. I'm not one for big crowds but its not too bad. Hopefully the traffic leaving won't be too bad.

Were there any cows?

I actually did not see any cows while I was in Winthrop. Very strange for a western town.

Looks like fun. How was the weather out that way? Rained majority of the weekend back here, crappy rain!

Actually snowed on the pass (http://ragingsamster.googlepages.com/paullil.JPG), 10X optical zoom FTW!.... Once we got to Winthrop it was low 60s so if you were moving around it wasn't bad. My son's fiance is leaving back to Aussie-land on Friday, and my son is leaving for Idaho for the summer on Saturday (actually we're driving him over there) It was sort of a "last fling" with the whole family (minus one daughter, who was not able to make it)

He's going to be a youth counselor at a church summer camp.

We will officially be empty-nesters :'( I'm already missing the big guy. And his Fiance is just too cute - her aussie accent is so awesome! they plan on marrying down in AU so I have to save my pennies for a trip down there for me and the Mrs. (I hope the date is a ways away - that's an expensive trip!)
