SilverTalon 05-19-2006, 06:15 AM Tseric (Blizzard Community Manager, for those who don't know of him) also said that the Blizzard devs fully expect that the 40 man raids of today will be the 15-20 man raids of level 70. They offer that as a partial explanation for why they were so "raider heavy" for the past year...knowing the expansion was going to raise the level to 70, a new 5 man dungeon would be left behind and forgotten very quickly (when was the last time you ran Maraudon?), while the 40 mans will continue to provide a challenge, and will allow people who never saw the content to see it. Also, the items coming out of places like BWL and Naxx will still be very good in the expansion. MC gear has an item level of 66 or so, while BWL is up at 75 and supposedly Naxx will be item levels of 85-90 (possibly a few item level 100s off of the big boss). Compare this to a level 60 green, item level 65. This means that BWL gear will be on a par with level 70 greens (which aren't going to be that common...not too many level 60 greens presently) so it's not entirely worthless to go into those places still. Naxx loot will probably be right alongside the stuff we're going to be able to get out of that 10 man instance, but we'll be able to take more than 10 to it. Not saying I totally agree with their approach, but at least there's some sense to it. MagnoliaFly 05-19-2006, 08:38 AM All I have to say is.... save all the gems that drop.
