I'm not so sure they need to do this yet. I'm still of the opinion that they don't need to radically alter the gameplay like this yet, just tweak what they have and see if the players make up the difference.

While this guys ideas have merit if the community doesn't pick up the slack, I think that given enough people on the server some f the issues he is looking to solve will balance themselves out. People will organize, given the tools to do so or given the time to write their own tools. I'd prefer to see ome of this change come from the community at large rather then being hard-coded by the Devs.

For me right now the 3 biggest issues with PS are:

1) Weak Vanu Weapons and Vehicles - no more needs to be said about this, though teamwork can overcome this somewhat, it cannot completely eliminate this.

2) Spawn times and penalty for death is too small. No one cares if they die, and that should change. While it shouldn't be hours to get back into the battle, a little longer re-spawn time would go a long way towards introducing more strategy.

3) Bases and Continent Lock don't really give you much. Right now taking and holding a base doesn't really feel important. I think they need to boost the effects of holding a base beyond where they are now. The dropship bases are always fought over because they have a signifigant reward attached to them, make the other bases the same way.

I like the ideas about a 'front-line'. Like yesterday we were sweeping over a continent, then you look and 3 bases behind your front lines have been hacked, so you have to back-track, it gets annoying fast.
