With ZsuZsu at 60 and Stike rapidly approaching that level, its time for us to think about the quest for our much wanted epic mount, the Dreadsteed. Throw Shoddy in there and that makes three of us.

We are each going to have to gather quite a bit of stuff including:

Dark Iron Orex25
Black Dragonscalex35
Elixir of Shadow Powerx10
Large Brilliant Shardx6
Arcanite Barx3

After this we still have several hundred golds worth of special items to buy from a vendor. From what I understand, we can split the costs of these items since only one person int he group has to have them.

Any "donations" (mainly of the first 2 items) will be greatly appreciated.

Oh yeah.. there will be a 5 man Scholo run and a trip to DM West to finish it off.... The "ritual" in DM West is said to be one of the most fun quest/fights in the game.

Actually we *may* have to do the ritual once for each of us. But you ARE correct. The materials do NOT get used and so we only need the end sum of parts :)

Kiera can toss some ore your way. 25 out of the 2400 needed for Gryph's intellect enchant is nothing, right? ;)

It will take some time but, I would be happy to collect the Black Dragonscales for all of you. Depending on how many skinners there are and how fast i am at getting to the corpses I can collect between 6 to 12 scales each run. I wish I could just scatter shot the other skinners some times. I don't play Cucucan enough to gather the ghost mushrooms for the oil but, he can handle the making of the oil and the arcanite trasmutes if you all bring me the mats.

3 spawn at a time in the Skulk Rock cave in the Hinterlands. Just spend an hour camping it and you should get all you need :)

Well somebody is looking after me and Zsu cause things have started appearing in the ol' mailbox pretty regularly.

Thanks to Silver, Fatalle and Shoddy, we have the Ore, Dragon Scales and a good chunk of the ghost mushrooms taken care of.

All I need now are the 6 large brilliant shards. I think I got a couple on Stoke but a few instance runs will produce those by the time they are needed.

Zsu, I'm holding the Ore and Scales for you. How are you doing on the other stuff?

LOL I SUCK! I haven't logged on for awhile... just been busy. But I'll be on thursday, friday, and sat. I might have a brilliant shard or two in the bank. I have a bit of gold though so I'll check to see exactly how much this crap will end up costing. When we have the gold, we can trek out there with a group instead of trying to sneak and buy the stuff.

I picked up the quest tonight and already talked to the two guys in burning steps. Tomorrow I'll be on during the day and will do the jadenaar and winterspring parts. I think that's where we'll need the mats. I only have one large shard so we still need 5 more of those or ANY Blue items above lvl 51 that I can disenchant.

Oh and I've got enough gold for all the components as well.

Barring any unforseen problems, I should hit 59 tonite (i got 3 bars to go) and be well on my way to 60 by the end of the evening.

Not sure about the shrooms for both of us. It says the reagents don't get used but then how do you do anything for the horse? I'm thinking that maybe if you're there, and it gets summoned, then you can skip the rest of the quest line?

Oh and no, I don't need shrooms, i bought them at the AH... so just need *trash* 51+ blues to disenchant :)

Yes... I had to do them...including buying the 150g gold dust.... We both have to do that in order for both of us to complete the quest in Scholo.

Tonight I will turn everything in and be ready for the Scholo run.

Now there is just a matter of this other slack ass 'lock ever fricking being online (and online long enough) to do the quest.....

I'm having BAD lag problems with WoW. I unistalled this morning and will be installing this afternoon.

Everyone is having bad lag problems.. the server is having issues.

I also believe my hard drive is getting ready to fail.

I'd like to take a shot at the initial 5 man Scholo run soon. Who has experience 5 manning it? Will it be possible with 2 locks in the group or will each of us need to do it separately? We only have to get to Ras Frostwhisper... we dont have to take out everything.

The DM run is doable with multiple locks....according to the posts in the lock forums.

Well you are a bad little gnome thats now behind.... I've got my Scholo run out of the way. It only took a little over 3 hours and a lot of deaths.

I owe all thanks to Stanf, Gryphon, Samanda and Silvertalon for the fun we had do something that turned out to be very challenging!!!! It was great!!!!

Before last night, I'd only run Scholo in 10 man groups. I think I've ran it now 4 times total. 5 man was definately a challenge, and there were some wipes, but WOW there were some really nice saves too - just when you think "off to the graveyard I go" boom! A heal hits me and the mob goes down. Very exciting run, and not too shabby lewt!

So Grunt... When do you want to run it?

I'm trying to get my priest leveled as quickly as possible at least for this week, I started the toon last monday. My goal would be to hit 25 in a week, but I'll prolly only hit 24 though.
Tuesday my evening is booked (practice) but wednesday appears free. I'd suggest an early start as it will take a good while - this isn't your normal 10 man baron cakewalk. It realy forces you to play to the limit of your character! You will enjoy it.

Warlock scholo Run is easy..

Yells: LFG Scholo (lv 60 lock)

You get invited in 10 man raid.

You ask the leader to stay after the boss and kick everyone else and make a 2/5 man party. I'm not sure if I made a new party or If I just kicked them all exept 2/3. You can walk back and do the imp think. I did this thing in patch 1.6/7 or something and it worked for me then.

Supposedly - according to posts in the lock forums - this does not work anymore. If at any time it becomes a "raid" group, the quest supposedly will not complete...

It made it more fun doing it the "hard way".....

Ya was fun glad to help out :). Im glad I had my jumper cables those came in very handy for a little gnome that was the only non stealther in the group :). Was a good challenge and we didn't do too bad at all.

The next step for me is the Dire Maul West run. Hopefully Zsu will get his slowpoke butt in gear and get his Scholo run out of the way so we can go together.

All indications from the Lock forums is the ideal group for this is 2 locks, a warrior, a priest and a mage. I'm sure when the time comes we will be happy with whatever and whoever is available and willing to help.

In the meantime....

Hopefully Fate will make a triumphant return to WoW by then. She missed out on the Scholo run, so it's only fair that she get to be there for the actually stead-ing.

Official word from the Government of Canada is that my refund will be in my account this Thursday (better late than never, right?). I'll be taking a day trip to my old city to do some shopping and visiting, so I should be on Thursday night. This is of course assuming I don't get drunk and crash on someone's sofa, in which case Friday for sure!
