For all of the miners out there, and anyone interested in helping keep our tanks alive in MC or Ony...

My fraternity bro Centurius is an armorsmith and he has all of the plans for every single piece of dark iron armor (great fire resist). I have talked with him and he said he would be willing to make this armor for our tanks should we provide him with the mats. So if you come across any dark iron ore, please donate it to the cause. Now other mats are needed as well such as lava cores, firey cores, etc that we can only get on MC raids, but seeing as it takes 8 dark iron ore to make one bar, I figured we had some time. If you do come across any, plz send it to Nellis. He's my lvl 2 dwarf priest that I'm going to use to hold the ore til I'm able to go to BRD and smelt it.

I'll do that since I went on my first RAIDS this weekend.

Also, I have started getting donations to make fire protection potions. So, if you are a tank and going to MC or Onxy then ask me for a potion. Otherwise, I try to figure out who should benefit. Depending on MATS, I should have at least one to give out to our tanks. Thanks to Shoddy and Skillet for adding to my stores (even though they don't want any) and to Stang for giving me the receipe a few weeks ago waiting until I reached 290. I need Dreamfoil and Elemental Fire (this is hard one to get).

Sorry Baller for ganking your thread....

i think you'd have a harder time with the dreamfoil. elemental fire can easily be farmed off the fire elementals in arathi highlands.

I tried a bit of the Arathi farming on Saturday. It would go pretty fast if a person could ever have the spot to themselves. But since it's such a great place to get these, it's rare to have it to yourself, at least in my limited experience. Gonna check out Felwood I guess.

This is just my humble opinion, but for the most part, I wouldn't worry about using fire protection pots until Ragnaros. Every other boss in MC will be easy as soon as you learn the strategy. But for Rag, all 40 people will want to have fr gear (there are different amounts wanted depending on class), at least 2 fire protection pots, potions dealing with your particular class, and the blasted lands quest item for your class (as a hunter, my rag pots list is fire protection potions, elixir of the mongoose, and scorpok assay (quest reward from blasted lands)). Its fine to use them before that, but I would try to save up as much as possible just to use them as a whole raid on Rag. The only person who is going to take lots of fire damage until Rag is the mt, which should be just fine without pots once he/she has their fr gear ready.

As a side note, my guild used all of the first fiery and lava cores we got in MC to make a fire resist set for our mt. You might think about this too. Of course, it sort of seems unfair to the rest of us, but it really does help you in MC if your main tank is decked out. I've said this before, but I'll lay it out again. My previous guild's mt has the fire resist set with 300 fr, which absorbs most of the fire damage he takes. He also has his tanking set, which has 415 defense (to be nerfed in next patch). A tank with a healing rotation will only die if they are massively crit, and with 415 defense, zwerg basically never gets critted. Sorry for going off again. I like sharing knowledge and experience :)
