Yea, I already grabbed it. Nice simple and clean interface. However, they are going to eventually interoperate their voice chat with the Gizmo Project. I'm using that instead of Skype as they use the standardized SIP protocol. It's amazing how many places get pissy if you don't have a home phone number. I don't really need a phone, though I had thought about Vonage. But their cheap program is $14.99 a month. For $5 a month in Gizmo, I get a real phone number people can call plus voicemail. That's good enough for a 2nd number on applications, rentals, etc.... since I use my cell phone exclusively anyway.
Oh yea, back on topic. Since they are going to interoperate with Gizmo for voice and I had already bought and use Trillian Pro, I'll just add my google talk account to that. Oh and I have been using Jabber on and off for years now. Works just fine, doesn't have adds in any clients (you can use just about ANY jabber client with Google Talk) but there just hasn't been a critical mass. Now maybe with Google backing it, the other players will at some point interoperate with it... one can only hope.

Google == pwns all
I predict a M$ & Google merger and or buyout in some direction creating the anti-christ of corporations and eventually taking over the world.

You watch, in 6-12 months, there will be a huge scandal that will drop the share price to a few pennies and see some terrible search engine, like Altavista, take it over.

It would be hard to imagine a world where Google isn't doing well. They make sure they do things right. And its just cool to "google".
