Frils 06-27-2005, 01:46 PM I really want this http://www.thottbot.com/?i=35869, and I haven't run DM ever...if anyone would be interested in doing this...sign up here, maybe we can get a run in this week? DoomsDay 06-27-2005, 02:13 PM Cant raid dire maul. You can only 5 man it. Frils 06-27-2005, 02:28 PM Oh...well I would still like to do this if we have other people interested SilverTalon 06-27-2005, 03:30 PM If a tank is needed, let me know what time you want to do it and I'll try to be there...no promises if you want it late at night though...work days are a smidge longer right now and they tend to tire me out a bit more. Stang 06-27-2005, 04:31 PM I'd help out but I will be gone Wed. thru Fri. or Sat. but if you do it tomorrow Ill help out also :). You know something about an anniversary and needing to get away from the computer and stuff :D. Frils 06-27-2005, 08:04 PM Thanks everyone let me see how about Thurday? Splidz 06-27-2005, 08:23 PM Thursday COL had mentioned PvP night but I would love to go to DM so if you can get people together I'm in for it for sure...why don't you ask Baller and Ard in game cuz then we can just use Linara or anyone else who wants to come. traversn 06-27-2005, 09:42 PM I'm up for DM before the friday night raid (I'll jump on 3 hours before hand if you're keen?) PS - On Friday night can we raid Stratholme SM and UBRS? (edit: added signature so you know who I am :> ) -- kiddo http://www.alliedtribalforces.com/wowroster/sig/mal%27ganis_kiddo_sig1.png destinysend 06-27-2005, 10:26 PM wooo we have our ubrs key!! so yea, if u need a guide for diremaul lemme know =D personally i need gear from west and east direamaul, Frils 06-28-2005, 10:15 AM Okay I think we may try to do this tonight, Baller and Ard have both commited, so that leaves 2 spots open. I assume Splidziz wants to go, so that leaves one lets see: Frils - 59 Hunter Splidziz - 60 Warlock Ardamir - 60 Priest Balleraphon - 60 Paladin ??? - Since I have never done this run what is needed a main tank, a second healer, or more dps (mage)? SilverTalon 06-28-2005, 10:38 AM I hear two healers makes the run a lot easier...but you have Baller so, hard to say. A MT might be useful, but with Baller and the voidwalker...again, hard to say. :) I'll go if you want a warrior, but you might want to get some DPS/AoE if you can. Being as that they're not undead, Baller could have some rough time maintaining aggro, but I think with a good enough DPS he'd do ok. What time tonight were you planning? Frils 06-28-2005, 10:53 AM Couple of things... I would want to get started by 9:00 CDT (10:00 CDT) also I found this map of Dire Maul North http://worldofwarcraft.gameamp.com/game_map/game_map/103.php Also there is a complete walkthrough there, but I think we have a walkthrough posted by Destiny that everyone needs to read I will try to take care of the items we need to bring. I really don't care if we go with a MT or a Mage, since this will be the first time most of us has done this I fully expect this to be a very "Learning" experience KWood 06-28-2005, 11:25 AM Dont forget to bring your stuff for the ogre suit and the thorium widget and frost oil. OR YOU WILL BE A FAILURE DoomsDay 06-28-2005, 01:05 PM Couple of things... I really don't care if we go with a MT or a Mage, since this will be the first time most of us has done this I fully expect this to be a very "Learning" experience I have never been on a successful raid to north. You really require at least 1 mage for poly, 1 tank for agro,1 priest (prefer 2) and 2 dps if you only have one healer. Without the mage it becomes outragously harder and you will die alot. The last time we tried it, we had 2 hunters a rogue a warrior and a healer. The healer died alot due to the shear amount of healing he had to do so he would always get major aggro and eventually die thus causing most of us to die since we couldnt get healed. We eventually made it to just before the king when we attempted to take out the pack of dogs in front of him, our healer ended up dead and couldnt get back due to most of the stuff respawning behind us. Frils 06-28-2005, 06:33 PM Sounds like we need a mage traversn 06-28-2005, 07:04 PM Sux, I can only go on the Friday night raid due to time zone differences. I'm at work for all of the other raids. destinysend 06-28-2005, 08:37 PM read my listing on the diremaul north tribute guide. and yes a mage is prefered but not needed, i've done it without one. Frils 06-29-2005, 07:51 AM Well we tried it and DM north takes a very optimal group. I believe that a warrior is absolutely neccessary since maintaining agro is of extremely high performance. I also tend to think that mage would be optimal since the poly function would be VERY helpful when handling groups of 4 58-59 elite mobs. Also it appears that the priest Mind Control is not really doable hear since the agro range on these mobs are huge and they seem to break MC fairly easy. I would like to try again on Friday if possible, let me know if your interested. KWood 06-29-2005, 10:16 AM 1.5 hrswith Mage, Warlock, Priest, Warrior & Hunter.....You will need to off-tank Cho-Rush when you get to the King....The Hunter's pet is good for that. If you dont, he will continually heal the King and you'll be screwed. It's not really that hard, pick up the keys, dont kill any of the named guards (if you are doing a tribute run) and bring your stuff for the trap and the ogre suit and its gravy. |
