So almost a week after the demo has been released how many of you want to play BF2? Which of you want to compete? Which want to just mess around?

I might compete if all I have to do is show up, I don't want to organize anything....which I seem to get myself into a lot :D

Ill compete but in this game I want to just show up and not have to worry about setting things up :). Someones turn to take the reigns in this game.

Ill show up, kill things. I enjoy the squad action. I would love to get together with some of you guys and play around some time soon.

Hell with this game.

A. You can only have 1 account per e-mail addy, lame.

B. No matter what i do i can't get my keys set up the way i want, always says something else is using it though i looked all over and even deleted everything else.

C. Once i settled with the keys, even after choosing "save", if i log out it resets them.

4. Regardless of my ping or server i get absurd lag if more then 2 people are around.

I know it's a demo but still....

It seems like fun tho I haven't played it enough to really tell if I like it a lot or not. I'd be interested in picking it up and just playing it, I'm not particularly interested in competition.

Hmm, I hadn't tried to change my keys at all. I actually was considering getting a zboard just for the sake of trying it out with this game.

Dark, if you're still in VA, there's been a problem recently with the COVAD/SPEAKEASY pop in WDC so don't know if you would be routed through that or not. I had real issues the first night I tried to play but last night was fine.

LOL
I hopped into the helicopter with Ard last night we started swaying back and forth. We didn't crash though... only cause the round ended!

Hey Dark, concerning your keybinds. Here's a link directly a page on the unofficial wiki for the game about your problem:

Thank you grunt, i'll take a look. I can't play any game like that if i can't have everything set on the numpad.

And yeah , muzo, i was in game acually cursing at everything and i couldn't use TS when in the game and if i tabed out i could get the screen up to type. By the time i got pissed enough and quit you left.

Lol Im not a "good" pilot but at least I dont crash as much anymore. Ive almost mastered hovering and now im trying to master getting into postion for my gunner to accuratly aim the laser guided bomb.

From the Single Player Demo, I don't know if I can handle the game. (big surprise) However, if I get some cover, I could do OK as a Spec Forces Demo Man. I don't Ever plan on being a pilot.

What I like about this game, is that my Army training actually comes in handy. =) Its nice to pull M-60 support and grab a decent firing position. I got a score of 50 in SP that way. However, with RL targets and Ping, I don't think I could keep enough accuracy to be any use.

Worth a try, tho.

Hahaha, finally got the demo to connect me to a server, and with 30/32 on it, the error message was simple (as I tried to spawn) :: Something is wrong with your connection.

Yeah, dumb-ass, its a dial up!!

Ahh well, have a good time with it!

Well it 'might' have been the server too. There are a lot of awful servers out there.

EA officially does *not* support dial-up connections with this game. I'd wager that there's enough information going in and out that no game will play good on a modem. Anyway, it may be possible, but I'd expect the worst if trying.
