I'm quite impressed w/the game. I'd say the best looking large scale engine I've seen yet. The gameplay really pulled me in. Most of the sounds and effects were very convincing. It's more or less still the same core gameply style of Battlefield 1942, but the overall experience much improved.

Just to let you guys know, Los has a server running the demo. I'm not sure yet what the max number of players will be (still trying to get it filled up Smile ) but for now it's set to 32. As soon as I have a chance I'm going to get rid of the timelimit also.

Ya, I think I am going to reinstall XFire for a bit and see if it makes it easier to find friends. I am surprised that games are still coming out where you cant have buddies or favorite servers. I think GameSpy Arcade and AllSeeingEye pay these companies to keep those features out.

Well, even though my ip hadn't changed in 3 wweks, it changed on me this morning. The best way to find the Sk8 Park is to put ssdlan.com into the ip section after clicking join by ip.

Does the AoW Soldiers server have the time limit removed? It's an easy change and makes it much more enjoyable to play.

I have added an XFire entry to the profiles and shows up to the left. Go to the User CP to update yours.

Yep thats exactly what happens gryph. The map just plys till the tickets run out. There is a lot more ebb and flow that way, it's harder for one team to rush to an early lead and then coast to victory, they need to defend the points they take also :)

Yep time limit is disabled, our 64 players running great on our 10MB connection!

Yah, I was playing with gryph and a couple of others. Great server, 64 players is very different then 32, changes the whole game.

I got the demo and installed it, works fine on my computer. But as I started playing, I realized that I screwed myself. I always play FPSs with the mouse inverted. But when I got WoW a few months back I didn't invert the mouse because it was a 3rd person game, so I just got used to it the way it was. Now in FPSs I am totally screwed. My muscle memory is all screwed up and I play equally as bad with invert mouse on as not - sometimes I'll move one way and sometimes I'll move another. It's bizarre, it's like I'm writing with my left hand. It's very frustrating! I guess I'm gonna have to learn my FPS moves again damnit...but now I'm not sure if I should go back to invert mouse or not!

I haven't loaded it yet, but my son's Athlon64 3400 w/9600pro (256M) runs it @800X600 2XAA just fine.

Get a mouse with lots of extra buttons. :) They come in insanely useful...I have one with two thumb buttons (Logitech MX510, to be exact...good mouse) and in PS I had medpacks on the front button and reload on the back. OMG what a difference it made. :)

For BF2 I'm going to have reload on that back on still, but probably do the the quick chat (the spotted, need ammo, etc) on the front. :hatparty2 Oh yes, it will be sweet.
