So you'd rather look at 2000 purple uniforms coming for you? Cuz playing on another side thats what it'll look like. I'm really more disturbed by the greenish/teal than the purple. Particularly if i wanna get ranked. More teal shows up with higher command. If you play defense/support mostly and don't encounter mass enemy hordes. Then yeah, i see your point. But if the uniform bothers you to look at. I suggest not looking at yourself and stay Vanu. Otherwise, the purple uniform is actually half of what your gonna see ingame.

TR main color is black = higher ranks will be red...
NC main color is blue = higher ranks will be... yellow???
VS main color is purple = higher ranks will be that greenish/teal...=\

To me there is no win/win here.

The Vanu AA MAX can fire a deadhead energy type rocket. So , i'm hoping for a rocket/jump to use in conjuction with the limited jump jets. Vanu really does have the coolest stuff overall. Both the AA and AV Max can inflict damage to enemy infantry. Which makes them much more versitile. The NC AA and AV Max and the TR AA MAX use locking type ordinance and must acquire tone. This is both boring and requires no skills.

The Vanu tank and hover buggy can straff. NC and TR lack this ability.

The TR pistol is weak. The NC pistol is kinda cool. But it comes back to that spead thing again. The Vanu pistol has an intent secondary fire. Which will take mad skills to do well, but will totally own when mastered.

Try sniping with the Lancer... get a range magnifier. The ppl that didn't join VS cuz of the color purple... feed 'em a face full of anti-vehicle purple sh!t. Let 'em know what hit 'em.

VS is not without a ground pounder or spray and pray type weapons. We got the Lasher and the Pulsar. Plus the energy base means less recoil.

Speaking about TR guns, have you noticed the screenshot where you can see the player carrying one of those heavy TR chainguns and it says '9mm bullets, AP' or whatever. '9mm bullets'?! In a Gatling gun? :silly:

Hrm. I don't think we're going to be able to change things like item sounds in this game. It sounds like the protections they've put in place against cheating are going to be so tight that any sort of home-grown tweaks will result in a CRC error or something like that.
