I have been watching the changes to PS and been planning what to re-cert my characters with the next time I play. My characters are BR17/CR2 and BR16/CR0. Here are my ideas by character with my thoughts on each:

NutzholzWolf option 1:
Medium Assault
Reinforced Armor
ATV
Armored Assault 1
Armored Assault 2
BFR
Engineering
Combat Engineering

option 1 thought - Armored vehicle driver with a supportive role as a grunt (ie with CE). ATV is for getting around alone or moving around descreetly to lay traps.

NutzholzWolf option 2:
Medium Assault
Reinforced Armor
Assault Buggy or Light Scout (have not decided, same cost)
Air Cavalry
Air Support
Engineering
Combat Engineering

option 2 thought - Light ground vehicle driver but air combat and air supporter with a supportive role as a grunt.

NutzholzWolfsecond option 1:
Medium Assault
Infiltration Suit
Uni-Max
Air Cavalry
Air Support
Engineering

option 1 thought - Air combat and support with front line combat abilities in MAX armor, support role with repairs, and to sneak around picking off weak enemy units or cloakers out in the fields.

NutzholzWolfsecond option 2:
Medium Assault
Infiltration Suit
Reinforced Armor
ATV
Engineering
Combat Engineering
Hacking
Advance Hacking

option 2 thought - Pure supportive role and trap oriented. Repair friendly armor/vehicle, hack enemy vehicles/terms for friendlies, and lay traps. Do hit and run attacks with ATV's, excluding wraith.

What are your thoughts? Which of these cert combinations are the most effective in the game as it stands right now for each of my characters?

I didnt see any heavy assault on any of the options. Pulsars are cool, but sooner or later you're gonna need to slug it out with someone in a base defense or capture.

Also, you are wasting 2 cert points on an infiltrator suit in one of your options. The only reason I would ever see to have infil suit is if you have 1) adv hack 2) adv Med 3)CE 4)CR4 or 5. If you don't have any of these the infil suit is a waste. Use the 2 cert pts on ground support or CE. OR, Drop the unimax, keep the infil suit and pick up Med + CE.

Just my thoughts.

Hey I've had infl. from the very beginning and have done well with it. I don't see why people think they suck I love being sneeky you just got to be patient.

But I guess thats just me and my purple undies :D. Now I see why people don't kill me cuz they are starin at my booty!

I played with the infl. suit for a while in the field picking off wounded solders or lonely ones. Over all I enjoyed it but wished I had more cert points at the time to get better gear, got some evil tells about killing them with a pre-balanced Beamer. That is why I was considering having it again, but this time I will use the Spiker.

I played that same game. I ended up realizing if I didn't have reinforced armor I was just simply going down way too fast. I still forget I have power shield so I'm thinking I need to switch that to something that I'll remember I'll use.

I took:
Assault 1
Assualt 2
Reinforced
Heavy
Hacking w/ Advanced
Engineering

I just wish they'd make it so reinforced can drive a mag.

Just adds to the challenge of driving somewhere .. getting out, hacking a terminal and swapping gear I guess.

I have been thinking about picking up Special Assault for the Radiator. The Thumper is usefull for the BFR's and vehicles. In the past when I did have the Lasher the enemy usually did their version of the Matrix around the slow orbs. They would continue firing while move left, right, up dodging every orb and getting very little damage from the lash (has this gotten better?).

When it comes to indoor battles I would usually use a Pulsar and Sweeper or Pulsar and Punisher combo. For the longest time the only weapons I would really use were the common pool ones. I have downed many air-crafts with the Punisher. I have defeated many NC with the Sweeper, such as one of the POTD shows me coming up next to a Phenix weilding NC who can't react because he is controling the missile for a kill shot on a Mag.

The Radiator, in my eyes, would be usefull in forcing the enemy vehicles from camping a tower or enemy solders from flooding in through a door until we are ready to defeat them. Also it would be a good support weapon in that it will weaken the enemy health while others are firing other weapons that will actually kill them. Over all I would like to try using the AT weapons in the battle field, granted I would either have to go to the caves and get them or get a weapons mod to the surface.
