Autorun
BFR's are able to enter an accelerated fast transit run mode with no loss of weapon functionality. Similar to MAXes, this transit mode will have an acceleration time and a deceleration time. So, while BFR's are able to travel and still deliver damage, they also have less fine control over their movement.

Hacking
BFR's can be hacked by enemy Empires like any other vehicle. However, weapons cannot be swapped at a rearm silo and only ammo commonly available to the Empire will be available to it (e.g. A TR will not have access to PPA ammo, even though they are piloting a jacked Aphelion).

Ramming Damage
BFR's will seriously harm Infantry that get underfoot of it, doing double the collision damage of vehicles. BFR's can use their jumpjets to accelerate into the air and drop on their opponents, doing greater damage the higher they fall from. BFR's must be careful using this tactic, as they do take falling damage as well.

EMP Effects
Electromagnetic Pulses (from Jammers, Command ability or NTU Siphon) will affect BFR's differently from other equipment. Rather than complete disabling weapons, EMP effects will have a localized affect on BFR systems.

It appears they are introducing weapons that will drain/disrupt power to vehicles, weapon systems, and possibly a base. Seems to me that we maybe able to make the enemy BFR's "drop like flies" by draining their power.

I have to wonder what the basic abilities of the BFR's are with no pods. Maybe it has faster turning rate and higher top speed? A flight pod sounds like it could, if used right, make a BFR "fly" for mediam distances using bursts which will slowly force it back down to the ground each time its used. The gun pod sounds like having a Magrider on steroids in that both players have their own weapons which that can choose to suite thier needs.

We can have a GBFR (Gun pod BFR) or two situated near an enemy base or along the enemies path to disable enemy weapons wail other BFR's, Mag's, Arura's, Sunderer's, ect. eliminate the troops and vehicles. The interchangable weapon systems will open many new tactics and ways to battle. Instead of having to destroy anything quickly we can now just torture them and slowly pick them down as they move defenslessly. The enemy flails that spam the towers can be disabled and the troops inside can take that chance to destroy it.

Imagine an enemy group traveling over the road which was just mined by our CE's and lined with Spitfire's in the trees. The first vehicle or two are destroyed by mines and some solders fall victom to the turrets. Our BFR's would move into firing possitions to start dissabling the enemy vehicles, who would start panicing at this time because they can't fight back. Our MAX's would then jump into the near by trees or into the air and start raining down on the enemy vehicles. Reavers will then come in and start picking off units straying from the area and come back to help finish the rest off.

Just some ideas with the current information.

sounds like a good plain if the vanu ever got that organized. :( 10 base's sounds like the caves will be active for 3 or 4 weeks then dead again.

Currently respawn on them is 45 minutes, but will be tweaked based off of Public Playtesting prior to them going live.
