Just wondering. First round of emails went out last night for the start next saturday. We should get a few in when they go to their stress tests, but I was just wondering if anyone made the first round.

View Full Version : Anyone make beta? Freebird[TKB] 02-14-2003, 07:29 AM Just wondering. First round of emails went out last night for the start next saturday. We should get a few in when they go to their stress tests, but I was just wondering if anyone made the first round. the46[TKB] 02-14-2003, 07:32 AM Nope, not me... Sucks to because right after I registered for the Beta I totally upgraded my computer... Blackfire 02-14-2003, 08:34 AM Hrm. Actually, that usually hurts. Most development teams look for oddball systems when they hand out closed betas. The point is to find compatability and performance problems, so they want to test against the low end of their range performance wise, and they want to test against set-ups that deviate from the rigs they had in the lab. A recently upgraded system doesn't usually give them anything above and beyond the testing capabilities they had for internal beta. That's why Stigs got on the T2 beta, for example. His rig blew camel ****. DaRB[TKB] 02-14-2003, 12:17 PM nope :( :( :( and i have an odd config too :( :( win2k pro/gf2 64mx 400/768Mb DDRram/ hell, the vid card should be a shoo in for pity beta acceptance :( PsychomanX[TKB] 02-14-2003, 12:47 PM no Spinning Hat 02-15-2003, 09:41 AM nope, not me. :( skoog 02-19-2003, 05:23 PM no love yet. Stigma 02-25-2003, 04:57 PM if I *had* made beta for planetside, would if violate the NDA to say so? :umlol: Stigma 02-25-2003, 04:59 PM Originally posted by Blackfire Hrm. It blew donkey balls on my old rig too, but it was pretty middle of the road back in the day... |
