Tomorrow morning, there will be some adjustments to the Lasher on the Public Test Server.
1) It will have damage degradation. While the projectile still goes the same maximum distance, it now degrades in its strength, as does the lash itself.

2) The damage against armor (MAXs, vehicles) has been reduced by 30%.

i'm going to withhold judgement till i actually play it but that dmg degradation has the potential to be the nerf of all nerfs, making it crappier than before, it's probably going to begin degrading on a foot by foot basis, making it most effective at close range where we'll get our asses ripped by jackhammers

damn i'm going to miss the uberlasher completely, i come back from vacation on teusday

its incredibly gay how they did'nt do anything based on months of screaming for a JH nerf but a week of slight whining for a lasher nerf gets it

Such is life as the VS. Back to our old lifestyle. We will be whined back to oblivian because of the skills we have acquired. Not until we have to throw rocks at the enemy will the whining begin to subside.

This is why I got in as much playing time with it as I could. I knew the NC and TR would cry enough and it would get nerfed back. If this is fully implemented on Markhov, I will be using my 4 points for something more useful.

I don't see any reason not to buy it. You just gotta deal the cards you're dealt. We as the VS has learned to master sub-standard weapons and still come out ahead a lot of times. It's not that bad... we just like to whine sometimes.

Overal, Yes. Then again there are a few places where its not as good, such as the XP and Gief, but it does not destroy the fun unless you are like Hat who got 1000 GP.

I hit 1000 frequently still. I know their are a few others who do it also. Just really bad luck with really stupid people who like to run in front of you while you are unloading lasher/thumper clips or driving a magrider for some reason.

The XP system is much worse than beta. It has the side effects of discouraging squads, discouraging defense (even more than it was in beta), and encouraging following the largest force of friendlies you can find. Even if you don't care about XP, it influences your empire-mates.

Other than that, it's improved some.

The other night, I got so pissed because I couldn't even buy a kill on Solsar.
Those assos owned every one of our 5 member squad. They talk about damage. A lot of times, our maxes are dead because the nme move around them so quickly. We turn like tortoises in molasses.
If I go back to Special Assault, I can just imagine my grief rising.:lol:
Let me know when this mag overdrive takes place. Hell, I'd even give up my max to do that.

I've hit 1000 grief 2 times already. Once before vacation, came home zero grief after a week.

Last time a few nights ago, was thumper mad in a tower TR had on lockdown, before I could stop firing i had 30 minute weapon lock.

And folks, don't think you can just log off and come back a day later, that 30 minute timer is still there.

So if you get lock just let the puter sit there before the timer runs out and then log off.

FYI, even if you have other characters, on the same server, the grief follows you. You gotta go to a NEW server to get it down to zero.
