I was thinking about two choices, but I hear that you guys have sort of settled on something already, but consider these:

I like the INC one because we are an incorporated group of tribes players.

It hasn't been decided yet. We want members to submit names, then we will have a poll to see what we want as a name for our group.

there's a youth ministry thing i've gone to a couple times called Acquire the Fire (atf). they have some schweet lookin merchandise.

I'm startin to really Like the Allied Tribal Forces. Besides, [ATF] in a tag would look schweet!

Everyone who was participating on the XMEN Board, and who has registered here has access to these Private forums. I check here everyday to see if we have new members, so I can add them to the Alliance Members usergroup, so they can get into the Tactics and Private forums.

ATF, huh? I'm sure those of us in TKB would agree to it. And for those of you playing the home game, ATF seems like a good double entendre for us...y'know Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. Yup, that's pretty much who we are, really. :D

This is going to be a tag for those of us allied together, but I have a feeling that many of us will want to keep our clan tags as well. TKB has been around for awhile and many have been playing under the TKB flag for a long, long time.

So, in reference to what Jester started:

There are many differnt ways to do this. If we can figure out to make it uniformily for all people in the Alliance, then we can identify our selfs alot easyer from other groups using the same letters.

I like the 2 tag at the beginning, personally. If I added all my tags to my name, it would be rediculosly long, so I have to Pick and Choose. Imagine this:

I have seen longer on a few others but that is longer then mine.

i think one of freebirds suggestions for the 2 tags would be good. the Alliance tag in front. and your primary tribe/clan after your name. beyond that it gets too cluttered. sorry if that causes problems with some people who don't want to have to pick a primary. maybe they should just leave it empty in that case...take your pick.

I probably will only use the Alliance tag on my main Characters in Planetside. On any secondary charecter I start, I will ware the LoS tag.

Personally, I think that would be best, so all other players know who we are. I know Gryphon is very protective of the THZ* name, and wants all THZ* members in competition to use the THZ* Tag, but I think strictly [ATF] tags should be sufficient...

How about we don't set a position?

i kinda like =ATF= gives it a military feel somehow. (air force'ish i know, but you can't win em all)

i don't mind the airforce feel. i like the air force. my sister is in the air force. my class (of 10 - 12) valedictorian (female) is in the air force academy. ok i'm done rambling about the air force now.

The only problem I can see about letting the individual tribes having the Alliance tag on the other end from their tribe tag is another group could by chance use the same letters and tag layout which could lead into a problem of recognizing who is with which team.

Hard to say before the game is out. I think we can agree though, that we will all carry the =ATF= tag and try to work our tribal tags into the name.

I think we need to decide on wether or not the tag is in front or back. The DTM tags are always in the back, and every clan has a preference to either side.... I think this is something where we need to decide, once and for all..... It's a bitch to realy accomodate everyone on tis, but I think this is the one true thing that we need to have a definite yes/no consensus....

Hat, how about you start a poll for this. Lets let the people that check the board cast a vote on this.

ATF is pretty popular acronym, the characters you use to display it should be something unique.

I haven't seen ATF anywhere, really... Not in a Game setting anyways.... How about CIA? or FBI? or how about USAF? :lol:

since the information about the outfits will be ingrained into the game database. surely it will automatically put the tags on...but maybe it won't even let putting the tags at the end of a name be an option. *shrug*

i dunno. i thought it was pretty standard to have the tags in front.

If it does not let you add tags at the end, then put the tags into your solders name. I just wish they update the FAQ's more often.

I'd be happy if they'd just put out a press release of their progress... I know they're in the alpha stage already, and I'd LOVE to get onto the BETA team....
